Hi, in the late 70's (I think) a motorcycle magazine ran a competition where the prize was a custom made V4 Harley Davidson, featured in the magazine was a set of cases and a crankshaft that had already been made and were designed to take a double set of Shovel barrel and heads for the one off custom, I never saw the end of the competition or whether the V4 became a reality, do you know anything about it, it has sat with me for decades but since there is a V4 connection here perhaps someone else remembers this, it was around the time Lucky Keizler built the Rolls Royce Merlin bike and Joe Schrizniarz was doing choppers if that helps.

Great job. The 1974 is the best looking one IMHO. 73 had the tank badges and 75 orange was just not deep like the maroon. Grom front end is a great choice

A lot of guys said they wouldn't own a new "so called Harley". I have a '79 FXEF 80 and a '23 Low Rider S. Love the shovel, but the M8 with a CR483 cam and TBR pipe is really impressive. For a 700 lb. bike I ran an 11.45 @ 116 1/4 mile and this was on my 2nd pass. I'm no Peewee Gleason. All in all I'm very happy with the brute. Will be here with me for a long, long while. Bike in video is a beauty.
